I have replaced all of the drill bits and screw tips countless times. I ended up just buying single piece set to replace the holder.
Hold the hinge in place, push the drill against it and know that it's centered in the hole. Works just like a Vix bit only you can pop it out the holder, flip it, put it back in the holder and voila', now you've got a driver to power in the screw.
This tool is invaluable when used for setting hinges. The housing eventually cracks at the corners where the bit slides through.
I've gone through three sets as they tend to grow feet and walk away. :(December 16th 2009 EDIT:My latest one has lasted three years.
The springs on the vix part (that push against the retactable head) have held up and have not failed. I have not yet seen a better setup than this.
The only concern I have with this product is the availability of it. This tool is very versitable and convienent. I waited 4+ weeks for it to arrive. It is a must for jobs requiring predrill(not countersink). The 4 piece set will do most jobs. Also I have not been able to locate any replacement parts in any of my local stores. This tool is made very well and seems to be able to stand daily use in the construction field.
